RECRUITING TIME-LINE!
For this round of recruiting, all applications are due no later
than May 31, 2008 @ midnight :) The sooner you apply, the
better. If you miss this deadline, contact me and find out if we
are still accepting candidates.
Verify that you receive an e-mail confirmation that your
application has been received for processing.
Screening of Applications & Telephone Interviews Set Up
May 1 - May 31
MATCH OFFER June 1-10 A couple will be selected within this
time frame who is the best match for the position and will be
offered the job!
ACCEPTANCE DEADLINE - June 12
ALTERNATE COUPLE - Sometimes we have more than one
"ideal" couple; this has happed more than once for us. One
couple will be offered the alternate couple position in the event
that the matched couple is not able to fulfill the position.
TRAINING START DATE - Please note that the training and
start date have a bit of flexibility as our relief staff (Associate
Family Teachers) are excellently equipped to cover any lapse
between the current Practitioner couple and the new couple
starting.
That being said, the ideal training will take place as follows!
July 4 Arrive in Durham, NC
check into extended stay hotel provided by Youth Quest (July
4-July 14)
July 5 TBA
July 6-10 Pre-Service Workshop and Home Application
July 13-15 Home Management Training
July 16th - 1st Day Living at the Quest! Check out of hotel and
move into the Quest
* Training in the Teaching Family Model takes approximately 1
year. In other words, your first year as Family Teacher
Practitioners are considered internship training months.
